He everyone,

Back to report on date #2

So - I went and picked her up at her house yesterday afternoon and we went to the local

Farmers' market. Got some fresh eggs, fresh fettuccine, mozzarella, roma tomatoes and some beautiful pancetta. We spent about 2 hours there looking around and chatting with people I knew there. I have done my shopping there for years now and I am very grateful that I can afford such beautiful ingredients.

So - went back to my house and had caprese insalata and pasta alla carbonara with a nice fruity moscato. And it was pretty darn good even if I say so myself! I introduced her to my daughter when she got home from work (she moved back in with me after B passed away) and we just hung out and talked for almost 3 hours. I was very nice. And got the daughter's seal of initial approval :-)

And, I am giggling about it now, but we made out like a couple of hormone pumped teenagers for almost an hour :-) While I am certainly no prude...I am NOT ready, not quite yet, for sex. But there is definitely sexual chemistry. And who knows? I am going with my gut AND my head. And I am just enjoying the flow between us now.

She is a very good listener and can also carry her end of the conversation. So far? I could see it going somewhere. Maybe I will hit the jackpot twice - time will tell!

Anyone else have any happy dating stories to share? Let me hear them!!!

Sweeeet!

I wrote about multi-dating.

In the past 2 weeks I've had 6 first dates. 5 of those were the last date (either no interest from me, or no interest from them...funny enough it's been mutual "no interest" on both sides and very adult like ending lol)

HOWEVER the 6th gentleman made my heart pitter patter. We were supposed to go mini golfing (outdoor course) but it rained so we grabbed a coffee on a covered patio instead. We sat there for 3 hours just chatting and laughing. He called me on Saturday, asking if I had time to meet up and I did. Cue another 3 hours of amazing conversation and fun sexual tension. We are currently discussing date #3 :)

May 29 2021 ***reclaimed myself and decided to delete my story with my ex because I'm now 7 years free from him and mentally healthier than I've been in years.

Hi twice!

I replied to your post - good on you!

We are currently discussing date #3 :)

Funny - we are currently discussing the very same topic via text :-)

But one of the things that put me off OLD was married people. I never want to be the 'other' woman - even if unintentional. And, no beef or anything, but I do not participate in open or poly relationships either. And yeah - you have to watch for those too

Keep us posted please!!!

Oh how lovely! I'm very happy to hear this!!

Dating stories. . . hmm. It's been a while since I've been on a date. I think I'm going to tell BF we need to go on a date. As lovely as drinking red wine on the couch and binge-watching Supernatural may be, it's what we have been spending all of our kid-free time doing. I think we need a date. All this new relationship energy has me a bit jealous

JanaGreen,

LOL...

You go girl! Yes - you definitely need a date!

On a serious note though? One of the reasons I was happily married for so long was we never stopped dating one another. I am hoping lightning strike twice for me!

Go - have a romantic, fun date! We do, of course, expect a report on the generalities of said date as well

I was so excited to read your first date update but just saw this before I could reply....so I am clearly behind in my responses. lol

I am thrill you are hitting it off. There is nothing as exciting as that period with a new person. So many feelings awaken!

As such - just be careful with your heart. I know it was a long time since you dated and finding someone new who makes you feel...well....alive again is downright intoxicating.

I found it helpful to outline what I wanted and make plans from that. Meaning, if you are not ready for more (aka $ex), I would make sure that is discussed and then make your date plans for places where this would be less of a temptation. At home dates are way to easy to proceed to a stage you are not ready for yet. Especially given your chemistry.

I am so excited for you. Enjoy!

Hi EvenKeel,

Thank you. I am having such a good time! And this...

I found it helpful to outline what I wanted and make plans from that. Meaning, if you are not ready for more (aka $ex), I would make sure that is discussed and then make your date plans for places where this would be less of a temptation. At home dates are way to easy to proceed to a stage you are not ready for yet. Especially given your chemistry.

is excellent advice. And why I made sure my daughter was here when we had our date Sunday. And we have discussed, not just sex, but shared values, life goals - even financial stability. She is just SO easy to talk with, we share values almost to a tee, and have common interests hobby wise as well.

We went to the dog park with our puppers yesterday evening and, again, spent over 4 hours just talking. And, as far as sex goes, I actually feel more ready than I thought I would be initially. And if it feels right this weekend (we have a date Friday night) I want to be intimate with her.

Like I said - I am no blushing virgin. But, even with sex on the table, I will still be taking the relationship at my pace (and her's too). And, while I can separate sex from love, I also realize the effect oxytocin has on the brain.

And if I catch feelz?? Then I just catch feelz!
