No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Foster Fail Update

Some of you may remember me posting about Bailey, my foster fail. I took her in in January 2015 and after a few days decided I wanted to keep her as mine. She was rescued from a puppy mill where she was always kept in a kennel, never allowed to run free and forced bred as soon as she was able to have puppies. She was only a little over a year old when I got her.

Anyhow, when I first got her she would hide, cower and shake anytime we tried to get close to her.

This is her the day we picked her up. Skinny little thing.

This is her now. Notice she's laying her head in my lap. She's still leery, but she's coming around. Now, she'll run up and give me kisses and loves nothing better than snuggling next to me under the blankets when it's bedtime. Everyday I'm thankful I kept her. She has brought me so much joy. I just love her.

Update on my Foster Fail

Hi everybody, I just wanted to update you on Bailey, my foster fail from January. I took her in as a foster, but fell in love with her and decided to keep her. She was a rescue from a puppy mill where she'd been kept in a kennel the whole time and forced bred as soon as she was old enough to have puppies.

When I got her, she was very skittish. She still is to a degree. She immediately leaps in fear if you try to pick her up and does not like it when people look directly at her. However, she now cuddles up to me, gives me kisses and sleeps with me every night. She is a joy to have and I just love her to pieces.

Anyhow, here are my updated pics of Bailey, my Puggle.
