Any swimmers out there?

I'm thinking about attempting a 5K (half marathon) open water swim. I've been eyeing a few in different locations so that I can both enjoy the swim and see a new locale.

Any other swimmers out there who know about a decent outdoor long distance swimming event, and/or may want to attempt it as part of their "finding myself again" goals?

Personally, I'm a snail-paced swimmer, in it for the accomplishment, rather than to roil others with my wake.

Iphone app to secretly record

Hi,

Does anyone know of a decent iphone app that allows recording conversations at a certain time? It has to be discreet - the phone can't show that it's recording, and the app should turn on the recorder automatically (preprogrammed). I suspect my WS is meeting someone and I want his phone to record the conversation. If the app could also send it to me later that would be even better, but I can probably find a way to retrieve it.

I've seen a few apps advertised but have no idea whether any of them really work well.
