For those of you that have divorced or separated from someone who may be angry at the divorce did you take half of the savings prior to filing? All funds are joint and I am worried that as soon as I file, if that’s what I do, ww will become spiteful and drain the accounts

Depends on where you live. As long as it’s only half of the savings, then it should be fine.

Mine drained the accounts. Take half before you file.

	Beagle,
I'm sorry you are going through this. I've been there. Take at least half of everything. Keep good documentation. In my case I took more than half and let her deal with it. She didn't make an issue of it. Probably due to all the dirt I had on her. Good luck.
