Ellie, I'm in Natchitoches, which is north of Lafayette. Lafayette is WONDERFUL as far as food, culture, colleges and things to do! My son is currently doing his internship at the Cajundome as he's a senior music engineering set to graduate next year. You will LOVE Lafayette! I have friends there and there's ALWAYS some festival or event going on. If I were to ever move from my town, Lafayette or Broussard is where I'd move, no question. Btw, when you get settled, how about a meetup? That would be very cool. OR we could do on in my little historic town of Natchitoches!
