Honestly to answer your first questions about why she wanted to come back.
Honestly you handled things maybe not the mentally healthiest but very well.
You threw her ass you and immediately got with another woman.
She had no choice but to shape up quick or you were outta there with a new replacement.
You have more leverage than most.
I’m not saying manipulate her or threaten her but she needs to start coming clean or you need to be outta there.

She was not telling her friend I love you cause he was really swell.
It feels like she is manipulating you (I don’t know that for sure) but it feels like it.
