I've just finished Trevor Noah's book "Born a Crime" and really enjoyed it. Now I need another book to read and need recommendations. I like biographies, historical fiction, a good mystery, characters I end up caring about...

Scott Turow, Testimony. Legal thriller. Really good, about half way through.

Just finished the Rosa Parks biography. Loved it.

I am reading Catherine Coulter's FBI series.

There is about 20 books in the series. I started with the first one...just to know the characters.... but discovered for the most part you can read out of order.

I just love Faye Kellerman's Peter Decker Series.

I am into series I also like murder and mayhem ...books only

Also my favorite of all time is J.D. Robb - In death series. This you have to start from the beginning... I just love the growth and introduction of the characters and how they intertwine.

I just finished Judy Blume's Summer Sisters. It was a great read for anyone who grew up in the 70s and 80s. I just started Cathy Lamb's My Very Best Friend. So far it's pretty good.

Tami Hoag is one of my favorite authors so I'm going back through her books and the Kovac/Liska series right now. I just finished the 9th Girl (again) and just started The Bitter Season (again). If you like detective/murder/mystery books, I definitely recommend her! And you don't even have to start at with the first book either with this particular series.

I love this series too and own most of it . It's one of my go-tos when I run out of things to read and I love the audio books on road trips.

I just started Cathy Lamb's My Very Best Friend. So far it's pretty good.

Cathy Lamb is one of those authors who can make me laugh and then big ugly cry so easily. If you like that book, try Such a Pretty Face and The Last Time I Was Me. Henry's Sisters was good too but I only pick it up when I WANT a big ugly cry.

Thanks for the input. So far I really like the book. It was a signed copy I won a few months ago. I'll probably pick up more of her books when I'm done with this one!

I heard about The Qualities and just got it recently.

CJ Box and just started Sherman Alexie's new memoir.

For Historical Fiction: The Book Thief, it's about a little girl in Germany during WWII. I can't really explain the premise without giving away chunks of the plot but it's really good.

For a good Mystery you can't beat John Le Care. I'd highly recommend The NIght Manager (I've just started it having watched the Hugh Laurie tv adaptation)

For a biography the Call The Midwife series are pretty good (if a little cheesy). They're Jennifer Worth's memoir, a series of short stories from when she was a midwife in 1950s London (so post-WWII at when the NHS and free healthcare was only a few years old)

Just finished John Grisham's Camino Island.

Loved it all but the ending. But that is just me.

It is a good book. If you are a Grisham fan you will enjoy it but the ending felt rushed and left me going "really"?

I just picked up a copy of Emily Giffin's - First Comes Love.

I am a huge reader so please recommend other books to read.

I'm usually a non-fiction reader, but I've delved back into fiction with David Baldacci's "The Last Mile". So far, so good on that.

Just finished "Valiant Ambition" by Nathaniel Philbrick.

Benedict Arnold and all of his revolutionary naughtiness.

Probably go for something fictional now.

Just finished the latest Clive Cussler, NUMA series.

Currently in the middle of the latest Brad Thor, Scot Harvath series.

Waiting for the release on the 11th of Daniel Silva's latest Gabriel Allon thriller.

Finished Lincoln in the Bardo a while back. It was unlike any other book I've read. The format is unique. I had to read it in times where I was not distracted and could focus on it without interruption.

I thought it was beautiful. And it is still lingering with me.

I'm currently rereading "The Handmaid's Tale." I read it when it first came out but I confess, I wanted to reacquaint myself with it before watching the series on Hulu.

I love these threads and make my library lists from them. NIK, I am going to try that book .

I just finished a series of Amish murder mysteries. Not my usual fare but they were easy and fun cottage reads and I devoured them.

WB, I loved almost all of the Attwood books. It's been long enough that I could read them again. I was thinking of trying Alias Grace or the Robber Bride again. I remember loving them, but barely remember the plot.

If you like fantasy type books, the Dresden books by Jim Butcher are pretty amazing. He's a wizard in modern day Chicago. There are currently 15 books and they get better as the series progresses. And the imagination that goes into them is pretty stunning.

I just found a new series, kind of along the same lines in a way, I think. The author is Ben Aaronovitch.

I also love Patricia Cornwell a lot for mysteries. And there is a series of books with a Detective Thorne as the main character. Can't remember the author but Sleepyhead and Scaredy Cat were made into TV shows.

My other favorite for mysteries is John Sandford. I love the Prey series, although the series with Virgil is actually my favorite.

Growing up where I did, we only had TV for half the year. So I would much rather read than watch TV.

The third of Dewey Lambdin's Alan Lewrie naval capers. New read, not a re-read. Enjoying them so far.
