On Wednesday July 13th, at 1pm we welcomed our first grandchild a boy into the world. He came by C-section, and the kids did not find out sex prior to arrival, so we were very excited to welcome this little man into our lives.
He did get off to a rough start and had to be transferred from the community hospital to our Children's hospital which one of the top 5 in the world. He is doing great now, and most likely will come home today or tomorrow. Mom and baby had to be separated for about 24 hours. That was very hard, so I stayed w/ my son the new Dad in the NICU overnight, and all day until she could get there.
He is a perfect little bundle, and looks like momma. The only thing we see that my sons genetics had a hand in his long fingers and toes. LOL
Anyway, I know there are a few of us here that are entering this new and exciting phase of life. I can't wait to spend more time with him.
