I had never heard of this book until I saw that the movie had an Oscar nomination.
I'm not even done reading it yet and already I am in awe. This book is intense! And it makes me want to hug my toddler and never let her go.
I highly recommend it, but just as an FYI it's written from the perspective of a 5 year old which I find interesting but saw reviews where others found it difficult to follow at times.

I read this book a few years ago for the book club I was in and I loved it.
I didn't know it was a movie! I'll have to look for it.
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Yeah the movie looks great, I'm definitely interested in seeing it after I finish the book to see how well they did keeping to the story.
