I am certainly going to TRY to attend. I have relatives in The Woodlands. I had intended to visit some very close friends who bought a beautiful home on Lake Conroe -- then cancer happened. Unfortunately my friends in Lake Conroe also had a tragedy as the husband (we've known each other since we were 10 years old) passed away very suddenly. I was in the hospital and not even able to attend his memorial to say a proper goodbye. She is wanting me to visit her - so maybe I will feel up to combining a visit with her, a visit with relatives AND the G2G.

I just wanted to update y’all that HT and I are taking the new Covid surges very seriously. We are in a wait and see mode. With the Delta variant being so incredibly contagious and the numbers in North Texas rising, we do not want to do anything to risk anyone’s health.
We will keep looking at how things are going.

Completely understand. I've already been thinking about this as well.
No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

I’m sad to say that we have decided to cancel the g2g this year. When I first posted this, we were hopeful that Covid was slowing and it would be safe to once again have gatherings.
With the Delta variant, we feel that it would be to great a risk to carry on with our original plans.
We are hoping that next year will be a better year.
