We got engaged on December 22! I was in my jammies with wet hair when he came and put his arms around me and asked if I would like to get married. I said "really?" and then "YES!" He has just been beaming through the whole holiday weekend. Told his family first - his mom cried - and they all said I've been family from the first time they met me. Told my brother who was so excited that I told him before mom or sister. He was so excited on the phone; he is always asking us when we are getting married. The rest of my family is all excited as well. BF spoke with DS before he asked me, so DS knew when I called him. He is very happy for us also.

My sister used the f-word: fiance! It sounds so strange.

We are both BS. We've talked about it (getting married) in the past, but mostly about the practicalities and I am surprised how romantic it feels right now. He just grins and keeps thinking of people that we need to call and tell so we do it together. I love that he is all in. He has told me that he's 100% from the beginning and he just keeps proving it.

All the best!!!

Survived two affairs and brink of Divorce. Happily reconciled. 11 years out from Dday. Reconciliation takes two committed people to be successful.
