HFSSC - I don't know WHY but I picture you as a put-together type, wearing pretty dresses. The only reason I typed WHY is I've never seen you post about wearing pretty dresses -- but non the less, i see you in pretty, floral dresses. smile And your hair always fixed even though you have some hectic situations going on. I definitely see you as strong - not the hand-wringing type - and you know how to take charge even if you aren't feeling up to it. I see you as as FIXER and people depend on you.

InkHulk - I still envision the Inkhulk graphic.

Which one, the raging inky blackness, or the scholarly "credible hulk"? I know which one I hope for. laugh

This thread reminds me of the one where we each posted our celebrity doppelgängers. I, too, picture things in my head often.

@WalkingOnEggshelz
I wondered what happened to the get togethers. I recall when they stopped during the pandemic and then there was an attempt to do another and the pandemic created issues yet again. Sad to hear they haven’t recouped. I'm very grateful I got to meet some people on this site 🩵

Happy Easter! I'm glad this topic is still available to post. Many of you posters on this topic will not remember seeing much of me on here, as I read once in a while to see what's happening with everyone and post more infrequently than that. But I love this post and remember when we did this before.

I have been VERY fortunate to have met quite a few members IRL, mostly at get-togethers and also remember seeing the photos WOEZ mentioned of the parties (mostly Elf parties?) our beautiful and gracious founders have hosted. I remember a few that I can also remember SI handles for besides MH and DS I can mention here, like Tred and Sandaway, WOEZ (and her handsome H), Trusted Her, and now drawing a blank but can picture others in my mind when I see them post or mentioned here.

Quite a few I have met have "graduated" SI or come here seldom as I do. Happily, our wise Sisoon is still here. He and Plainsong hosted an evening at one SI g2g. I still drool thinking of the food they provided and really want to go back for more! I remember the "real" names of many who attended, but my brain has lost their names I no longer see here. We were graced with several staff members there. I've lost their SI names right now, but one was the funny and "game for anything SI fundraiser" pedicure gentleman i pnly know by real name.

Another smaller g2g even before that one was fun, so we had another with some additional members present. Our beautiful and wonderful Tesla and I roomed together at this first one and the one with Sisoon and Plainsong.

I've seen photos of other g2gs that included Dragn and also some photos of her family. Merida is a good way to think of her, I would say. Also seen HF and JM photos, and, if I remember correctly, she was wearing a flowered dress!? Not as I had pictured her dressed as a nurse. LF has annual photos of them sunning on the beach just to make us jealous. (Congratulations on another year.)

Quite a few more over the years that I have seen in photos here and also IRL. The very first time I went into Divorce topic to post as a member, first thing I saw was a happy photo of NowIKnow on the court steps with her D decree. Later, I met her at Sisoon's.

Thank you all for creating a fun thread about each other. I hope we can do more IRL g2gs to match faces to names.

Oh thebighurt, I miss reading posts from Tesla and NIK. Never will forget her "stay off my lawn" posts!

I've met some people over the years. A few Michigan get togethers and made it to one in Texas.

TBH I can't believe you remembered that dress! laugh That picture was from my nephew's wedding, if I recall correctly.

Jeanie said she imagines me as "put together" lol. I am pretty much the opposite of that. I used to look like the Peanuts character Pigpen coming out of school. My sister is the one who always has her look together.

I miss Jrazz and NIK and Metamorphisis. And obviously, DS.

And I was thinking last night about Pedicure-Guy, lol. Cannot remember his username to save my life. laugh

Little Turtle, I am happily still in touch with Tesla, and also really miss NIK on here. I'm a little put out with her because that was my first choice for SI name and it was taken. My second choice name was also taken and that lady attended the g2g at Sisoon's with NIK! Both absolutely lovely and sweet. I really enjoyed meeting them. Last I remember of NIK on here, she was writing, so maybe we will see a book by her one day. The other lady said on here she remarried and is very happy.

I used to look like the Peanuts character Pigpen coming out of school.

laugh That photo popped into my head when I saw Jeanies post, but my usual image of you is a very professional nurse who sets everything straight at the nursing home, usually on a dead run trying to get to it all.

Jazz brought us a large selection of wines to accompany the beautiful spread put on by Sisoon and Plainsong. I feel fortunate to have met all who attended there. Such a fun, great gathering. Pedicure-guy gave Tesla and me a ride from one of the weekend's outings.

So many I miss seeing, too, like Meta, the Schmoopie cartoonist, and, gosh, so many names I only remember when I see them but definitely remember their stories and how I picture them.

Hey, I just remembered... "manicure guy" was Moo on here. Just popped into my head as I typed. MovingUpward. And he was still dancing and entering dance contests when we last spoke a year or so ago. Maybe more names will pop into my head, too. Fun to imagine our fellow SIers, and even better to meet them.

You look put together to me, HFSSC.

G2Gs ... Too Trusting hosted the first that we went to. We also met NIK and Better4me there, and 'Moo' - 'Moving Upward', the first SI guide, dancer, and pedicure 'fan'.

Chicago - Jrazz ... we drank the fantastic red wine she supplied. We had a bottle of the white left over that we donated to the one NIK hosted. For food, all we did was order pizza. Jrazz did a lot of the organizing.

I've never laughed as much as I did at the MI g2g hosted by wh5 and BR. St. Louis - Minneapolis - Tahoe - never got to Texas.

So many wonderful people.
